Just wanted to share how I spent my VD with you, my tens of readers.

It was a rare privilege to see John Cameron Mitchell perform songs from Hedwig and the Angry Inch live before and after a screening of his award-winning movie,, based on his original musical (of which I’ve only seen LA and SF productions).

Enjoy two versions from different performances (one with better sound, one with multiple camera angles) of my favorite song from the show, “The Origin of Love.”

The best plastic surgery is the kind you barely notice, right?

I’ve spent the past 6 hours upgrading WordPress and fiddling to recreate this here blog’s design. After a spate of 700 emails from spam commenters overnight, it was time do something. Please let me know if you run into any problems here… other than the lack of stuff to read. They don’t make author upgrades.

It’s pretty shiny back here, behind the curtain. Can’t wait to find what else this little piece of software can do!

Although I didn’t enjoy one of the multitude of cupcakes, I really liked the two Hoegaarden‘s (Hoegaardeni?) Oh, and the free t-shirt! That was kind. You didn’t have to…

It was fun to stand in a packed bar with other geeks… I felt like I was in Austin all over again. Like a SXSW after-party!

Now, back to writing my self-evaluation for work. If only I could write, “Work eats into my knitting time.” But I don’t think that that would go over too well.
