I found the pattern for this messenger bag on the DIY website, and I’m very much looking forward to knitting it once I can get my hands on some good yarn. However, I’m a little bit confused about one thing: The pattern calls for 4 balls of MC1 and only 1 ball of MC2, although the seem to be knit together through very nearly the entire project.

Is this a typo in the pattern? Or is there something in the pattern I’m not understanding correctly? I’d really hate to buy the yarn as listed and discover that it’s insufficient, but I also don’t want to buy way too much.

I just saw you showing off the messenger’s bag on Knitty Gritty & knitting. I think it great that a guy knits. It sort of like knitting return to the guys that taught it first a long time ago.Anyway, I thought that bag that was showing on Knitting Gritty would be a great knitter’s bag also,not just a messengers’s bag. So I hoping to get some printer ink soon then print that pattern off. Well anyway, I was wondering if it ok to put your site on my knitter list of sites in my site called Sugar’s Gifs?

any tips on how to get a man to knit? I’ve gotten my man to the point where he asks me to knit him things [and is getting very specific about what he wants not, 'can i have another hat' but 'can you make me a hat that looks like this lil slime monster from my videogame?' accompanied by a very specific colour choice] but so far i’ve not faired well on the would you like to try it aspect :P
